Sixteenth-century chest from the Veneto region.
The solid walnut safe is entirely covered with wrought-iron sheets secured by large studs, which ordered in parallel lines over the entire surface create a sober ornamental motif.
A plate is attached in the middle of the front to accommodate the lock.
The chest has undergone conservative restoration, that is, it has been disinfected and restored in the wooden part, while the wrought iron sheets are original to the period.
