Antique dresser with three drawers
Art. 10-1629
Length: 143 cm
Depth: 63 cm
Height: 102 cm
17th-century chest of drawers, traceable to the production of furniture from the Po Valley area, between Emilia and Lombardy.
The visible part (top, sides, front and feet) is made of solid Italian walnut wood.
The three drawers are adorned with five panels carved with a “low relief” motif and covered in walnut briar.
This dresser has been thoroughly disinfected and restored and is ready for use.
The shellac finish has enhanced the main characteristic of walnut: the brown color, streaked with darker veins that make it especially valuable.
