Trumeau Maria Theresa style

Detailed reproduction of mid-18th-century trumeau known as the “Maria Theresa style” in homage to the period when she reigned as Empress of Austria and Queen of Germany (1717-1780).

The top, consisting of 13 drawers and a central door, lays on top of a base equipped with a flap that can also be used as a writing desk.

The structure of the trumeau was constructed of solid fir and larch wood and covered with 4-mm-thick briarwood.

The color effect, obtained by the use of some precious wood essences (such as walnut, cherry, chestnut) was highlighted by the light color obtained thanks to the mixture of water and earths.

In the final stage of polishing, several coats of shellac were applied.
